Yadira Dockstader (b.1983) is a Mexican-American interdisciplinary artist and researcher from Southern California. She is currently a Master of Fine Arts candidate in the Claire Trevor School of Arts at the University of California Irvine. Additionally, she is a UCI MedicalHumanities emphasis candidate and art and ecology researcher at the Burns Piñon Reserve in Yucca Valley. She received her B.A. in Studio Art and Art History from the University of California Riverside. Dockstader works in moving image, sculpture, sound, performance, installation and hybrid modes. Her current interdisciplinary research presents alternative modes of disseminating qualitative research. Using documentation as a mode for examining the systemic destruction of healthcare, research infrastructures and the intersection within the medical and scientific communities.
